Asami likes you as you are Korra, you don’t need to be taller ;D
and I know sometimes it’s hard to tell, but I really do like Mako.
dude why didn’t she just… Idk… lifted herself with earth bending or something
(anyways love your Korrasami as always *ª*)
was gonna do that originally, but I thought this version would be funnier
(and thank ya)
For some reason, this “tight rough” for the second piece of press art we released didn’t make it into the Korra art book, but I like it so I’m posting it here. I based it off of a storyboard panel of Joaquim’s from the premiere episode, and he did some further revisions on top of my drawing, which are included here in what you might call a “jam.” I wouldn’t call it that. Without wincing.
Sorry again for the lack of posts! Our production schedule is simply brutal as we are working on Books 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously, and I have little time for anything else once I try to fit “being a human being” in there. Such is the nature of TV production and its protracted, overlapping schedules… Despite the absence and the delays (which are all symptomatic of The Difficulty of Making Animation and little or nothing else), I would (as I have in the past) humbly ask you for your continued patience: It is a good year to be a Korra fan, and a lot of great stuff is coming down the pipeline that we are excited to announce (when we are permitted to announce it) and to share with you all. Thanks, sincerely!
Headcanon - At times Sokka would go to the place Momo was burried and leave a few fruits, especially peaches, the same thing Momo had brough him the day they met. Just because that was the beggining of their friendship and earned him his name (since Momo means peach).
I loved how Sokka and momo became close throughout the series. It’s adorable.
pow right in the feels..!
an AU where Korra grows up with a young Spirit Aang! She didn’t have very many “friends” at the White Lotus Compound so naturally they became friends :,)
Christine Bian, our incredibly talented prop designer, has started a Tumblr blog to showcase her exquisite animal drawings. I love this Naga piece, but do yourself a favor and check out her other work too.
You shoot me down but I won’t fall.
Korra is so much fun to draw~ Ahem, I should be asleep but late-night drawings are the best. Maybe I’ll finish it sometime.
I still want to work for Nickelodeon 81
Drawn while listeing to David Guetta’s Titanium.
Uh oh it’s suave korra again
Here is the back cover art for the Book 1 DVD/Blu-ray coming out July 16th, 2013, or at least, this was how I intended it to look. Tenzin and Lin had to be moved elsewhere to make room for type and graphics. Drawn by Ryu Ki Hyun, colored be me.
Here’s the piece I made for the “I’m the Art Show, Deal With It” gallery show! You can find some info on the show and how you can help out here.
I was originally planning on doing something more ambitious than just a character pinup, but with everything else I have going on right now, I had to stick with something I knew I could get done pretty fast. So behold Queen Asami, about to do something badass while looking totally glamorous at the same time.
This was one of my favorite pieces at the Korra fanart show. Very elegant!
